Film & Kino

Film & Kino er en bransje- og medlemsorganisasjon for kommunale og private kinoer i Norge.

Organisasjonen forvalter Norsk kino- og filmfond og gir støtte til import og distribusjon av film samt utvikling av kino- og videobransjen. Film & Kino har vært ansvarlig for den nasjonale digitaliseringen av de norske kinoene og administrerer nå driften knyttet til digitaliseringen.

Film & Kino har siden 1987 hatt ansvaret for Bygdekinoen.[1]

Organisasjonen ble stiftet i 1917 under navnet Kommunale Kinematografers Landsforbund (KKL). KKL opprettet Norsk kino- og filmfond i 1970, som finansierer støtteordninger og drift av organisasjonen. I 2002 endret KKL navnet på organisasjonen til Film & Kino.[2]Lene Løken var administrerende direktør i organisasjonen fra 1993 til 2014 og ble etterfulgt av Guttorm Petterson.[3]

I 1930 ble Norsk Filmblad opprettet. Tidsskriftet endret navn til Film & Kino i 1965, og ble deretter et månedlig løssalgsmagasin. Tidsskiftet ble finansiert av bransjeorganisasjonen ved samme navn, men var redaksjonelt uavhengig. Fra 1. januar 2012 ble tidsskriftet Film & Kino overført til ny eier og skiftet navn til Cinema.[4]
