Aesop

Aesop (Yunani: Αἴσωπος, Aisōpos; c. 620 – 564 SM) merupakan seorang pencerita dan penglipur lara berbangsa Yunani. Beliau lebih dikenali atas seberapa kisah dongeng yang dikatakan disumberkan kepada beliau iaitu "Dongeng Aesop"; meskipun kewujudan beliau tidak dapat dibuktikan dengan jelas mahupun penulisannya ada yang terselamat, namun kisah-kisah tersebut masih dapat dipelihara secara berterusan sehingga hari ini. Kisah-kisah ini banyak dicirikan oleh adanya watak-watak haiwan atau tidak hidup yang mempunyai ciri manusia yang berkata-kata, menaakul dan mampu menyelesaikan masalah.
