SDTV izšķirtspējas pa valstīm, valstis, kurās izmanto 480i ir zilā krāsā.

576i ir saīsināts nosaukums video režīmam, ko sākotnēji izmantoja standarta izšķirtspējas televīzijas apraidei vairumam pasaules valstu, kur elektrotīkla frekvence ir 50 Hz. Savas ciešās saistības ar krāsu kodēšanas sistēmu dēļ to bieži sauc vienkārši par PAL, PAL/SECAM vai SECAM, salīdzinot to ar tā 60 Hz līdzinieci, kas izmanto NTSC krāsu kodēšanu, 480i. Ciparu tehnoloģiju pielietojumos to parasti apzīmē ar "576i"; analogo tehnoloģiju kontekstā to bieži sauc par "625 rindām".[1] Kadra proporcijas parasti ir 4:3 analogā pārraidē un 16:9 ciparu pārraidē.

576 apzīmē vertikālās izšķirtspējas 576 rindas, bet i apzīmē rindpārlēces izvērsi. Lauka nomaiņas frekvence ir 50 Hz un dažkārt tiek iekļauta video režīma apzīmēšanā, piemēram, 576i50. Cits pieraksta veids, ko iesaka izmantot gan Starptautiskā telekomunikāciju savienība (BT.601 standartā), gan SMPTE (SMPTE 259M standartā), iekļauj kadru ātrumu, piemēram, 576i/25. Cits bieži izmantots standarts pasaulē ir 480i.
