Vladas Vansevičius

Vladas Vansevičius (g. 1958 m. vasario 18 d.) – Lietuvos astrofizikas, profesorius, daktaras, fizinių ir technologijos mokslų centro Puslaidininkių fizikos instituto fundamentinių tyrimų skyriaus vadovas, Vilniaus universiteto Astronomijos observatorijos vedėjas.

Baigė Panevėžio Senvagės pagrindinę mokyklą. Buvęs rutulio stūmikas.

Aktyviai dalyvauja ugdant šalies moksleivių domėjimąsi mokslu ir mokslininko profesija, rengia moksleivius Europos Sąjungos jaunųjų mokslininkų konkursams.

Mokslinė ir pedagoginė veikla

1992 m. apgynė mokslų daktaro disertaciją „Daugiaspalvė elektronografinė žvaigždžių fotometrija“. 1993–1994 m. stažavosi Japonijos nacionalinėje observatorijoje, 1997–1999 m. ir 2003–2004 m. ėjo joje profesoriaus pareigas. 2007 m. prof. V. Vansevičius atliko habilitacijos procedūrą (darbas „Dulkėtos galaktikos Visatoje“). Profesorius vadovauja fizinių ir technologijos mokslų centro vykdomam projektui „Sudėtingų sistemų dinamika ir charakterizavimas“ (2012–2016 m.).

Profesoriaus Vlado Vansevičiaus vykdomų mokslinių tyrinėjimų tikslas yra nustatyti evoliucinius hierarchinių žvaigždžių sistemų (nuo galaktikų iki žvaigždžių spiečių) sąryšius ir charakterizuoti stochastinę savaime plintančią žvaigždėdarą galaktikų diskuose.

Nuo 1984 m. dėsto Vilniaus universitete, vadovauja studentų diplominiams ir kursiniams darbams, nuo 2001-ųjų veda astrofizikos kursus Vilniaus universiteto Fizikos fakulteto magistrantams ir doktorantams. Vadovavo daugelio doktorantų moksliniams darbams. Jungtinės Vilniaus universiteto ir Fizikos instituto doktorantūros komisijos narys (2003–2010 m.).

2005–2006 metais tapo aukščiausiojo laipsnio valstybės stipendijos mokslininkams laureatu. Nuo 2008 metų – Vilniaus universiteto astronomijos observatorijos vedėjas.
