Bakul

Keranjang atau bakul (Bahasa Indonesia)/boboko (Sunda), adalah sebuah wadah yang biasanya dibuat dari serat-serat tanaman yang dianyam. Pada bagian atasnya bisa terbuka atau bisa ditutup dengan sebuah penutup.

Penyebaran bakul di Indonesia

Bakul tersebar di beberapa daerah Indonesia, khususnya/biasanya di daerah yang memang terdapat bahan baku yang cukup yaitu tanaman bambu sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan bakul. Bakul di Indonesia juga terdapat berbagai macam jenis dan ukurannya sesuai dengan budaya daerah masing-masing.

Sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman serta daya kreativitas manusia maka bakul saat ini telah mengalami banyak perubahan, baik dari sisi desain maupun penggunaannya. Secara garis besar bentuk bakul ada dua jenis yaitu:

Bakul biasa/bakul secara umum, sebagai wadah yang multifungsi

Bakul ini bisa difungsikan sebagai wadah beras, wadah sayur-mayur hasil panen di kebun, penyimpan beras, dsb.

Bakul nasi (Sunda: Cepon)

Bakul ini ukurannya lebih kecil dari bakul umum (± ¼ dari ukuran bakul umum). Bakul inilah yang sering dipercantik bentuknya, sehingga bakul nasi sekarang sudah banyak sekali ragamnya.
