Kepurėlė centre įdubusi, lakšteliai nuaugtiniai.

Vaisiakūniai smulkūs. Kepurėlė 0,5–2 cm skersmens, jauna – varpeliška, vėliau – pusiau iškili, iškili, vidurys įdubęs, higrofaniška, gliti, sausa, pakraščiai ryškiai vagoti, geltonai ruda, oranžiškai geltona, išblunkanti iki gelsvos. Lakšteliai gelsvi, toli nuaugtiniai. Kotas 1–3×0,1–0,2 cm, tamprus, pamatinė dalis kartais sustorėjusi, kepurėlės spalvos, geltonai plaušuotas. Trama plona, gelsva. Sporos 5,5–7,5×3–4 μm.

Būdingi požymiai: vaisiakūniai smulkučiai, auga kolonijomis.

Auga vasarą, rudenį, dažniausiai ant samanotų eglės, pušies kelmų, stuobrių, išvartų. Saprotrofas. Labai dažna. Nevalgoma.
