Neretos arba Nereta (latv. Nereta) – gyvenvietė pietų Latvijoje, Sėlijoje, Aizkrauklės savivaldybėje, 53 km nuo Jėkabpilio, 4 km nuo Lietuvos sienos. Per Neretą teka Nemunėlio intakas Susėja.

Yra vidurinė mokykla, kultūros namai, liuteronų ir katalikų bažnyčios. Netoliese yra Janio Jaunsudrabinio gimtinė-muziejus, Neretos hidroelektrinė.

Istorija

Nereta (kaip Nirica) rašytiniuose šaltiniuose minima nuo 1298 m. Miesto statusą įgavo 1672 m. 1709–1711 m. Neretoje siautė maro epidemija, liko tik keli gyventojai. 1950–1990 m. turėjo miesto tipo gyvenvietės statusą.

Iki 1946 m. Neretose veikė lietuvių septynmetė mokykla (50–90 mokinių). 1979 m. Neretų senbuvių šnektą tyrė Kazimieras Garšva. 1925 m. Neretose gyveno 466, 1989 m. – 156, 2000 m. – 50 lietuvių.[2]
