Juozas Macevičius (1919)

Juozas Macevičius (1919 m. gruodžio 1 d. Odesa – 2007 m. sausio 20 d. Kaunas) – Lietuvos inžinierius hidrotechnikas, hidrologas, habilituotas fizinių mokslų daktaras.

Biografija

1939 m. baigė Kėdainių aukštesniąją kultūrtechnikų mokyklą, 1943 m. baigė Vytauto Didžiojo universitetą. 1971 m. geografijos mokslų daktaras.

1942–1945 m. Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto Hidrologijos ir hidraulikos katedros laborantas, asistentas, 1945–1950 m. katedros vedėjas. 1951–1993 m. Kauno politechnikos instituto dėstytojas, 1951–1963 m. ir 1970–1971 m. Hidrotechnikos, 1971–1990 m. Hidraulikos katedros vedėjas, nuo 1971 m. profesorius. 1950–1951 m. dar dirbo Lietuvos mokslų akademijos Technikos mokslų institute, 1951–1959 m. Lietuvos hidrotechnikos ir melioracijos institute (iki 1956 m. LTSR mokslų akademijos Melioracijos institutas).

Mokslinė veikla

Mokslinio darbo kryptys – sausumos hidrologija ir hidrologiniai skaičiavimai, t. p. hidrotechnikos ir melioracijos problemos.[1]
