Diskonto norma

Diskonto norma – palūkanų norma, skaičiuojama ne pagal pradines investicijas, bet pagal susigrąžinamą vertę. Pavyzdžiui, jei už 900 € perkami valstybės vertybiniai popieriai, už kuriuos po metų bus gražinama 1000 €, diskonto norma yra lygi 10 %, nors tuo pat metu šios investicijos metinė palūkanų norma yra 11,1 %.

Diskonto norma atsiranda dėl pinigų vertės pasikeitimo laike, pinigai dabar yra vertingesni negu pinigai ateityje. Jis parodo kokią pinigų dalį mes linkę paaukoti, kad pinigus, kuriuos gausime ateityje gautume dabar. Diskonto norma rodoma nuošimčiais.

Diskonto norma suteikia galimybę diskontuoti – ateityje laukiamo kapitalo vertę perskaičiuoti į kapitalo vertę dabartiniu laiku. Diskonto norma naudojama apskaičiuojant investicijas.

Pavyzdys

Patyrinėjam paskolos lakštus, kuriuos valstybė turi išpirkti po metų po 1000 €. Mums reikia pinigų ir todėl mes nusprendėme juos parduoti anksčiau po 900 €. Mes padarėme diskontą, tai reiškia, kad vietoje ateityje gausimų 1000 € dabar gausime 900 €. Diskontą apskaičiuosime:

Diskonto lygis ir rentabilumas

Diskonto koeficientas nėra toks pats kaip palūkanos, grąžos koeficientas arba rentabilumas. Praeitame pavyzdyje diskonto norma buvo 10 %, nes buvo atsisakyta 10 %, kad būtų galima pinigus gauti anksčiau.

Pirkėjui, paskolos lakštų pirkimas buvo investicija – jis išleido 900 € dabar, kad ateityje gautu 1000 €. Todėl palūkanas apskaičiuosime taip:

Diskonto norma priklauso nuo tokių veiksnių kaip infliacija, pinigų pasiūla, paklausa, skolininko mokumo. Jei skolininkas nekelia abejonių, kad grąžins pinigus, tai paskutinę dieną jo vertybinių popierių vertė bus lygiai tokia pati, kokia jų nominali vertė. Jei skolininkas negali atiduoti skolos, tai jo išleistų vertybinių popierių vertė net ir paskutinėmis dienomis gali būti artima nuliui, o diskonto norma artima 100 %.
