마청시

마청시(한국어: 마성시, 중국어: 麻城市, 병음: Máchéng Shì)는 중화인민공화국 후베이성 황강 시의 현급 행정구역이다. 넓이는 3599km2이고, 인구는 2007년 기준으로 1,160,000명이다.

역사

마청은 오랜 역사를 가지고 있다. 도시의 역사는 춘추 시대인 BC506년 경에 초나라의 일부였던 이곳에서 무주 전투가 벌어졌던 때로 거슬러 올라간다. 마청이라는 이름은 598년에 지어졌다.

1927년에 마청에서 농민 폭동이 발생했고 1949년의 공산주의 혁명의 강력한 기반이 되었다. 10만 명이 넘는 사람들이 지역 장군 왕수성과 천자이다오가 지휘하는 마오쩌둥의 홍군에 가입했다.

경제

마청은 자원이 풍부하다. 100만 무(670 km2)의 경작지와 300만 무(2,000 km2)의 숲, 45만 무(300 km2)의 물이 있다.

주요 매장 광물로 현무암, 대리석, 규소가 있고 옥, 금, 은, 구리 등도 많이 매장되어있다. 주요 경작 작물로 밤, 국화, 감이 있다. 이 지역은 또한 누에고치 생산과 관련된 뽕나무 숲으로 유명하다.
