თეოდოროს „თეო“ ანგელოპულოსი (ბერძ. Θεόδωρος Αγγελόπουλος; დ. 27 აპრილი, 1935 — გ. 24 იანვარი, 2012) — ბერძენი რეჟისორი, სცენარისტი და პროდიუსერი. მსოფლიოს არაერთი კინოფესტივალის ლაურეატი და გამარჯვებული. ბერძნული კინემატოგრაფიის თვალსაჩინო კინოხელოვანი, მსოფლიო კინოს ერთ-ერთი საუკეთესო, გავლენიანი და პატივცემული რეჟისორი.[1][2] მისი ფილმები უჩვენეს მსოფლიოს ყველა მნიშვნელოვან საერთაშორისო კინოფესტივალზე.[3] ანგელოპულოსის ნამუშევრები 6-ჯერ მოხვდა კანის კინოფესტივალის ძირითად პროგრამაში.

თეოდოროს ანგელოპულოსი დაიბადა 1935 წლის 27 აპრილს საბერძნეთის დედაქალაქ ათენში. სწავლობდა სამართალს. მოგვიანებით სამხედრო სამსახურის გავლის შემდეგ გაემგზავრა ქალაქ პარიზში, სადაც სწავლობდა სორბონის უნივერსიტეტში. IDHEC-ის გამო სასწავლებელი მიატოვა. 1964 წელს საბერძნეთში დაბრუნდა, სადაც მუშაობა დაიწყო ჟურნალ „დემოკრატიული არჩევანი“-ს ჟურნალისტად და კინოკრიტიკოსად.

1968 წელს შექმნა პირველი მოკლემეტრაჟიანი ფილმი. 1970-იან წლებში დადგა სამნაწილიანი ფილმი, რომელიც მიეძღვნა XX საუკუნის საბერძნეთის ისტორიას. ცნობილი იყო თავისი სტილით, რომლისთვისაც დამახასიათებელია შენელებული თხრობა და გრძელი კადრები. 1995 წელს მიენიჭა საპატიო დოქტორის ხარისხი ბრიუსელის უნივერსიტეტში, 2001 წელს ესექსის უნივერსიტეტში,[4] 2008 წელს დასავლეთ მაკედონიის უნივერსიტეტში,[5] ხოლო 2009 წელს ეგეოსის უნივერსიტეტში.[6]

არაერთი ჯილდოს გამარჯვებულია. 1988 წელს ვენეციის კინოფესტივალზე მიენიჭა „ვერცხლის ლომი“ გადაღებული ფილმისთვის „პეიზაჟი ნისლში“. 1995 წელს კანის კინოფესტივალზე ფილმისთვის „ულისეს მზერით“ მიენიჭა გრან-პრი, ხოლო 1998 წელს მიენიჭა „ოქროს პალმის რტო“ ფილმისთვის „მარადისობა და ერთი დღე“.

თეოდოროს ანგელოპულოსი გარდაიცვალა 2012 წლის 24 იანვარს ავტოსაგზაო შემთხვევისას 76 წლის ასაკში. ავტოსაგზაო შემთხვევა ქალაქ კერაცინში მოხდა. ანგელოპულოსი თავისი ფილმის „სხვა ზღვის“ გადასაღებ მოედანზე მიიჩქაროდა, როცა მას მოტოციკლი დაეჯახა. ეს ფილმი მისი ტრილოგიის ბოლო ნაწილი უნდა გამხდარიყო. კრიტიკულ მდგომარეობაში მყოფი რეჟისორი საავადმყოფოში გადაიყვანეს, თუმცა მისი გადარჩენა ექიმებმა ვერ მოახერხეს.[7]
