იოჰან ჰაინრიხ აუგუსტ ლესკინი (გერმ. Johann Heinrich August Leskien; * დ. 1840 წლის 8 ივლისს ქალაქ კილში; † გ. 1916 წლის 20 სექტემბერს ქალაქ ლაიფციგში) იყო გერმანელი ინდოგერმანისტი და სლავისტი.

აუგუსტ ლესკინი მიჩნეულია ინდოგერმანისტიკის დარგში ე.წ. ლაიფციგის სკოლის დამფუძნებლად.

ცხოვრება

აუგუსტ ლესკინი 1860 წლიდან 1864 წლამდე კლასიკურ ფილოლოგიას ქალაქებში კილსა და ლაიფციგში. ა. ლესკინმა დისერტაცია ფილოსოფიის დოქტორის წოდების მოსაპოვებლად 1964 წელს დაიცვა.

  • 1876 წელს ორდინარიუსად წარადგინეს, სადაც ინდოგერმანული ინსტიტუტის დირექტორად დაინიშნა.

აუგუსტ ლესკინი იყო თანამაარსებელი ახალგაზრდა გრამატიკოსთა სკოლისა. ის დარწმუნებული იყო ბგერათა კანონის თეორიის უნიკალურობაში.

აუგუსტ ლესკინის კვლევის მთავარი დარგი სამხრეთსლავური ენების გარდა იყო ლიტვური ენა.
