ამირანი (ლათ. Amirani) — აქტიური ვულკანი იუპიტერის გალილეისეული თანამგზავრ იოზე. წარმოქმნის ყველაზე დიდ, აქტიურ ლავის ნაკადებს მთელ მზის სისტემაში.[1]

ვულკანი პირველად 1979 წლის მარტში შენიშნეს, კოსმოსურ ხომალდ ვოიაჯერ-1-ის მიერ გამოგზავნილ ფოტოებზე.[2] მომდევნო წელს, საერთაშორისო ასტრონომიულმა კავშირმა, ვულკანს ქართული მითოლოგიური გმირის — ამირანის სახელი უწოდა.

შემადგენლობა და ფიზიკური მახასიათებლები

ამრიანი დაახლოებით იუპიტერის ასაკისაა – 4,5 მილიარდი წლის. შემოსაზღვრულია გიშ-ბარ-პატერის კრატერით.[3] კრატერში არსებულ სხვა მთებთან ერთად, ამირანი მდებარეობს გაყინული გოგირდის ლავის მინდვრის ცენტრში, რომელსაც ნახევარწრის ფორმა აქვს. ამ ვულკანური ჩაღრმავების სიგანე 37 კილომეტრია და დაკავშირებულია 330 კმ სიგრძის ლავის სხვა ნაკადთან. ამირანის ნაკადების მინდვრის სამხრეთი ნახევარი შემოსაზღვრულია გოგირდის დიოქსიდის (SO2) კაშკაშა დიფუზიური დეპოზიტებით, რომლებიც ბაზალტისა და სილიციუმისაგან შედგება; ეს დეპოზიტები ამოფრქვევის შემდეგ მიწის ზედაპირზე იყინება.[4]

ამოფრქვევები

სახელის წარმომავლობა

ვულკანს სახელი ეწოდა ძვ. წ. 3000-2000 წლების ქართული მითოლოგიური გმირის, ამირანის პატივსაცემად. ამირანი ძველბერძნული ტიტანის, პრომეთეს ტოლფასად მიიჩნევა; იოს ერთ-ერთ ვულკანს მისი სახელიც ჰქვია. ქართული მითოლოგიის მიხედვით, ამირანი ნადირობის დიადი ქალღმერთის — დალის ძეა, რომელიც ღმერთმა იმის გამო დასაჯა, რომ მან ადამიანებს ლითონის დამუშავება ასწავლა; დასჯის მიზნით, ამირანი კავკასიონის მთებზე მიაჯაჭვეს, ყოველდღიურად მოფრინავდა არწივი, რომელიც მის ღვიძლს ჯიჯგნიდა.[7]
