პროდუქტიულობის დანაკარგები და სიცოცხლის გაუარესებული ხარისხი, რომელიც ჰაერის დაბინძურებითაა გამოწვეული, მსოფლიო ეკონომიკისთვის ყოველწლიურად 5 ტრილიონ დოლარ დანაკარგს უტოლდება.[16][17][18][19][20] ჰაერის დაბინძურების შესამცირებლად სხვადასხვა საკონტროლო ტექნოლოგია და სტრატეგიაა შემუშავებული.[21][22] ჰაერის დაბინძურებით გამოწვეული გავლენის შესამცირებლად როგორც საერთაშორისო, ისე ეროვნულ საკანონმდებლო დონეზე რეგულაციებია შემუშავებული. ადგილობრივი კანონები საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის განვითარებას უწყობს ხელს. საერთაშორისო დონეზე შემუშავებული მაგალითებია მონრეალის ოქმი, ჰელსინკის ოქმი გოგირდის ემისიის შემცირების შესახებ (1985) და სხვ.

ჰაერის დაბინძურების წყაროები

ანთროპოგენური წყაროები

  • ტრადიციული ბიომასის წვის შედეგად გამოყოფილი კვამლი, როგორიცაა ხე, მარცვლეული ნარჩენები და ექსკრემენტები.(განვითარებად და ღარიბ ქვეყნებში ტრადიციული ბიომასის წვა ჰაერის მთავარი დამაბინძურებელია.[23][24] ის ასევე დაბინძურების მთავარი წყაროა განვითარებულ ქვეყნებშიც, მათ შორის, გაერთიანებულ სამეფოსა და ახალ სამხრეთ უელსში.[25][26] ამ კატეგორიაშია პოლიარომატული ნახშირწყალბადებიც.[27]
