ბასილი დიდი, ბასილი კესარიელი (დ. დაახლოებით 330, კესარია, კაპადოკია ― გ. 1 იანვარი, 379, იქვე) — ქრისტიანული ეკლესიის მოღვაწე, ეკლესიის წმინდა მამათაგანი, თეოლოგი, მქადაგებელი, მწერალი. გრიგოლ ღვთისმეტყველის მეგობარი.

სწავლობდა კესარიაში, შემდეგ კონსტანტინოპოლისა და ათენის ფილოსოფიურ სკოლებში. ათენიდან დაბრუნების შემდეგ ერთხანს იყო რიტორიკის მასწავლებლად. დაახლოებით 30 წლისამ მიიღო ქრისტიანობა და იმოგზაურა ცნობილი განდეგილების მოსანახულებლად სირიაში, პალესტინასა და ეგვიპტეში. პონტოში დაბრუნებულმა დააარსა მონასტერი. 370 წელს გახდა კესარეის ეპისკოპოსი, ამასთანავე კაპადოკიის მიტროპოლიტი და პონტოს ეგზარქოსი. ცდილობდა მოეხდინა აღმოსავლეთის ეკლესიის ძალთა კონსოლიდაცია არიანელობის წინააღმდეგ. ქადაგებდა ასკეტიზმს, მხარს უჭერდა მონაზვნობას. ცდილობდა შეერიგებინა აღმოსავლეთის ეპისკოპოსები დასავლეთ ეკლესიასთან. ბასილი დიდი ერთ-ერთ ყველაზე პოპულარულ მოღვაწედ ითვლება ძველ ქართულ მწერლობაში. მისი ნაწარმოებებიდან აღსანიშნავია „ევქუსთა დღეთაჲ“, რომელშიც განმარტებულია ბიბლიური კოსმოგონია. აღწერილია სამყაროს შექმნის ექვსი დღე; განხილულია ანტიკური მეცნიერთა შეხედულებები „საგანთა პირველსაწყისის შესახებ“. ბასილი დიდის უმთავრესი თხზულებანი ქართულად უთარგმნიათ ექვთიმე და გიორგი მთაწმიდლებს, ეფრემ მცირეს და სხვებს. არსებობს მოსაზრება, რომ ეროვნებით იგი კაპადოკელი ქართველი უნდა ყოფილიყო (მისი ძმაა გრიგოლ ნოსელი). ბასილი დიდის ცხოვრება აღწერეს გრიგოლ ნაზიანელმა და ამფილოქე იკონიელმა.
