ヌガ作戦

ヌガ作戦（Operation Nougat）[1] は、1961年から1962年にかけてアメリカ合衆国が（1つの実験を除き）ネバダ核実験場で実施した、45回に及ぶ核実験である。

ネバダ核実験場以外で行われた唯一の実験は、ニューメキシコ州カールスバッドで行われたノーム実験（地下核実験）である。この実験は核の平和利用を目指したプラウシェア計画の第1回実験として行われ、放射性同位体の生産、実験跡地に水を注入して得る水蒸気による発電、爆発に伴う地震波の測定などを目的としていた。しかし、爆発の際にシャフトから放射性降下物が地表に噴出したため実験は失敗に終わった。
