略歴・概説

二人は中学生時代からの同級生同士[8]。二人とも創価大学に進学し、大学の落語研究会でお笑いコンビを組む[9]。大学生時代から『学生才能発掘バラエティ 学生HEROES!』（テレビ朝日）にて、学生芸人として「わらいのゼミナール」などの企画に二期生として不定期レギュラー出演していた[10]。2011年、第1回大学芸会で優勝（準優勝は真空ジェシカ）[11]。

しかし大学卒業後は普通に就職することになったため、一度コンビを解散。斉藤はCM制作会社に就職。城戸は小学校・中学校の非常勤教師として勤務、教師をやりながら芸人の活動もしていた[3][4]。しかし斉藤はスタッフとしてCM撮影に臨むタレントの方を見るたびに夢を諦めきれなくなり、再びプロの芸人を目指すことになり1年足らずで会社を退職。城戸を誘って2014年に再結成し、プロデビューした[4][8]。

コンビ名の由来は二人の外見からで、城戸がジャガイモ、斉藤がアーモンドに似ていることからこの二つを合わせてジャガモンドとした[3]。

ネタは主に漫才。正統派漫才と言われている[8]。ネタを始める前に、城戸が「幸あれ～!」という台詞を発するのが定番となっている。
