西川利右衛門

西川 利右衛門（にしかわ りえもん）は、江戸時代初期に江戸へ出店した老舗近江商人、屋号は「大文字屋」・「近江屋」。歴代当主が襲名する名称。

  • 西川利右衛門 (初代)数政：勘右衛門数吉長男、蒲生郡市村に生まれ八幡町新町に移住し、大坂（近江屋）・江戸（大文字屋）に出店を構える。
  • 西川利右衛門 (2代)重数：数政長男。
  • 西川利右衛門 (3代)数正：重数長男。妻は扇屋伴兵衛の娘。
  • 西川利右衛門 (4代)数常：隠居後5代・6代利右衛門の後見となり、隆盛期を迎える。
  • 西川利右衛門 (5代)治記：数常長男。
  • 西川利右衛門 (6代)数亮：数常五男、京都店を開設する。
  • 西川利右衛門 (7代)数孝：3代目西川庄六数久の長男。
  • 西川利右衛門 (8代)数喜：備中早嶋店を開設する。
