矢崎 智之（やざき ともゆき）は、NHKのアナウンサー。

来歴

神奈川県平塚市出身[1]。 平塚市立金目中学校[1]、神奈川県立湘南高等学校[1]、慶應義塾大学卒業。東京大学大学院修士課程修了。

学生時代

高校時代は剣道部に所属[1]。大学時代は競技ダンス部に所属[2]。就職活動で民放3社のアナウンサー試験を受けたが、不合格[3]。

学生時代は教員になりたいという目標を漠然と抱く。『人に何かを伝える仕事がしたい』という思いが根底にあり、より専門性を高めるため大学院に進学した[3]。院生時代に『湘南海の女王・海の王子コンテスト2015』に出場し、同年の海の王子に選出された。約1年間、出身地である湘南エリアのPR活動を行った[4]。

大学院生の時に再びアナウンサー試験にチャレンジして、民放やNHKを受けた[3]。

NHKに入局

2017年、アナウンサーとして入局。初任地は岡山放送局[5]。

2021年、東京アナウンス室に異動[6]。

  • 高校3年生の頃に体育祭で応援団長をすることになり、受験を控えて時間も取られるので、最初はやる気がなかったが「矢崎しかいない」と言われたという。思い切り取り組んでチームが優勝した時には感動して泣いた[10][11]。
  • アナウンサーを目指すようになったきっかけのひとつに、2016年に起きた熊本地震での武田真一アナウンサーの言葉があるという。心に寄り添った言葉はそれまで「ニュース原稿を読む仕事」と漠然と捉えていたアナウンサー像が、がらりと変わった瞬間だった[3]。
  • 2021年、痔になって痔ろうとイボ痔の手術を受けた事を自らレポートで語った[12][13]。
