永田希

永田 希（ながた のぞみ、1979年12月26日 - 2024年12月7日[1]）は、日本の著述家、書評家。

来歴

1979年、アメリカ合衆国コネチカット州に生まれる。小学生時代は物理学者を目指したが、「理系」に対する苦手意識を抱き、断念した[2]。

ノイズミュージックやインダストリアル・ミュージックを好み、そこから本の趣味へとつながっていった。読書コミュニティサイト「本が好き!」を運営する株式会社とうこう・あいに勤め、オフィシャルブログ担当者として個性的な本の数々を紹介。退社後は書評サイト「Bookニュース」を主宰した。『新・音楽の解読』を紹介した縁から、同署の著書の能勢伊勢雄より「君は書評家を名乗ってもいいよ」と声をかけられ、以降書評家を名乗るようになった[3]『週刊金曜日』で書評委員を担い、『ダ・ヴィンチ』ではブックウォッチャーの1人として、毎号選書と書評を担当。『このマンガがすごい!』『図書新聞』『週刊読書人』などでも執筆活動を行った[4]。

「積読」については独自の考えを持ち、2017年、自費出版で『サイコパスの読書術 暗闇で本を読む方法』を著す。2020年に、同書を改稿した『積読こそが完全な読書術である』がイースト・プレスより出版された[3][5]。単著にはほかに、『書物と貨幣の五千年史』（2021年、集英社新書[6]）、『再読だけが創造的な読書術である』（2023年、筑摩書房[7]）がある。

2024年12月7日、自宅で病死した。享年44[1]。
