座位

座位（ざい）は、専門的分野では元来の用字「坐位」で記されることが通常（cf. wikt:座#日本語）で、一般向けに記される場合の多くに「座位」が用いられる。 坐位および座位には、大きく分けて3つの意味があり、それぞれに派生的な意味がある[1]。

座る位置

座る位置のこと。 上座（じょうざ、かみざ）・下座（げざ、しもざ）[2][3][4]など、上下関係で区別されるものが多い。土下座も元来は、尊ぶべき相手に対して行う下座の一種であり、上下関係で言う「座位」に関連している。

座る順番

座る順番、すなわち、席次（儀式や会合での座席の順序。席順）のこと。

用例

座った姿勢

座った姿勢を指す語。

用例
  • ヒト、形態学的にヒトと近似の動物（類人猿など）、および、人型もしくは人に譬えることのできる人工構造物（仏像、人型ロボットなど）の、姿勢に関して言う「坐位（座位）」。
  • 人間科学・医学・看護学・介護などの用語としての「坐位（座位）」。
    • 分娩体位の一つとしての「坐位（座位）」（坐位分娩［座位分娩］）。
    • 看護および介護における「坐位（座位）」。座位の種類には「あぐら座位」「椅座位（きざい）」「車イス座位」「正座」「端座位（たんざい）」「長座位（ちょうざい）」「横すわり」「とんびすわり」などがある[5]。
      • 長坐位（長座位）：足を伸ばした状態の座位。
      • 半坐位（半座位）：背もたれを45度程度起こした状態の座位で、ファウラー位（ファーラー位とも） (Fowler's position) とも呼ばれる。
      • 端坐位（端座位）：ベッドの端などで足を下に下ろした状態の座位。
      • 坐位バランス（座位バランス）。
    • パラリンピックの競技種目における「座位」。用例：「アルペンスキー男子回転（座位）」「座位バレーボール」。
    • 性科学における、性交体位の一つとしての「坐位（座位）」。 → 座位 (性行為)
