仙台地方検察庁（せんだいちほうけんさつちょう）は、宮城県仙台市にある日本の地方検察庁の一つで、宮城県を管轄している。略称は、仙台地検（せんだいちけん）。大河原、古川、石巻、登米、気仙沼に支部を置いている。ただし、大河原支部は本庁内、登米支部は古川支部内で業務を行っている。

本庁内に常設されている特別刑事部は、全国の主要検察庁（特別捜査部がある東京・大阪・名古屋の各地検を除く）に置かれ、特捜部と同様に独自捜査を行っている。

出来事

  • 同地検の検事が2011年（平成23年）11月に、有印公文書偽造などの容疑で取り調べていた男性被疑者に対し、「話しにくいのでは」と持ち掛ける形で取り調べの可視化を中断していたことが明らかとなり、この被疑者の担当弁護士は、「可視化が骨抜きにされかねない」と懸念を示している[1]。
