略歴・人物

四国出身。中国人の父親と、中国人と日本人のハーフである母親の間に生まれたクォーター。北京で生まれ、5歳の時に家族が日本に移住、祖父が日本人であることから間もなく日本国籍を取得した。

中学校のときは演劇部に所属していた。初体験は16歳の誕生日直前に2歳上の男性としている[1]。

高校卒業後、横浜で洋裁の専門学校に通っていたが、友人が勤めるモデル事務所に遊びに行った際スカウトされた。

1996年に「香美花」の名前でグラビアデビューし、Vシネマにも出演した[2]。

1997年4月には「メイファ」として『メイファ My Love』（アトラス）でAVデビュー、続いてシネマジックの作品に出演[1]するなど、20本前後の作品に出演した。また、深夜番組『ギルガメッシュないと』（テレビ東京）のミニドラマなどにも出演した[1]。

AVなどで中国語を披露したことがあり、日本語と中国語のバイリンガルと思われがちだが、実際は聞き取りは大丈夫でも、話す方はあまり得意ではなかったという。
