キーガン・コール・トンプソン（Keegan Cole Thompson, 1995年3月13日 - ）は、アメリカ合衆国アラバマ州カルマン出身のプロ野球選手（投手）。右投右打。MLBのシカゴ・カブス所属。

経歴

オーバーン大学在学時の2015年6月にはトミー・ジョン手術を受けている[1]。2016年にはMLBドラフト33巡目（全体985位）でデトロイト・タイガースから指名されたが、この時は契約しなかった。

2017年のMLBドラフト3巡目（全体105位）でシカゴ・カブスから指名され、プロ入り。契約後、傘下のA-級ユージーン・エメラルズ（英語版）でプロデビュー。7試合（先発1試合）に登板して1勝2敗、防御率2.37、23奪三振を記録した。

2018年はA+級マートルビーチ・ペリカンズとAA級テネシー・スモーキーズでプレーし、2球団合計で25試合に先発登板して9勝6敗、防御率3.61、115奪三振を記録した。

2019年は故障のため、ルーキー級アリゾナリーグ・カブスとAA級テネシーの2球団合計で3試合の登板にとどまった。オフにはアリゾナ・フォールリーグに参加し、メサ・ソーラーソックスに所属した。

2020年は新型コロナウイルスの影響でマイナーリーグの試合が開催されなかったため、公式戦の出場は無かった。オフの11月20日にルール・ファイブ・ドラフトでの流出を防ぐために40人枠入りした[2]。

2021年5月1日にメジャー初昇格を果たし[3]、翌2日のシンシナティ・レッズ戦でメジャーデビュー[4]。

投球スタイル

フォーシームは平均93〜95mphを計測し、それに80mph台前半のスライダー、70mph台後半のカーブ、80mph台前半のチェンジアップといった変化球を交える[5]。
