Il campionato di Serie A2 di pallacanestro femminile 2012-2013 è stato il trentatreesimo organizzato in Italia.

Rispetto alla stagione precedente il numero delle società è passato da 28 a 27. Le squadre sono state suddivise in due gironi all'italiana a base geografica, uno di 14 e uno di 13 squadre, con partite di andata e ritorno. Alla fine della stagione regolare, le prime classificate dei due gironi sono state promosse direttamente in Serie A1, mentre le squadre piazzate dal secondo al nono posto hanno giocato i play-off promozione.
