Nintendo Today! è un calendario digitale e un aggregatore di notizie sviluppato e pubblicato da Nintendo nel 2025. Si incentra principalmente sulle notizie riguardo i prodotti e gli eventi tenuti dall'azienda. È disponibile gratuitamente per tutti gli utenti che possiedono un account Nintendo.

Caratteristiche

Gli utenti possono selezionare temi per l'app basati su Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Kirby e Donkey Kong. Possono poi selezionare quale serie Nintendo sono più interessati.[1] Gli utenti possono anche consentire che le date relative a eventi per Nintendo Switch e dispositivi mobili, uscite di contenuti per Nintendo Switch Online come videogiochi e colonne sonore per Nintendo Music, Nintendo Direct e date di lancio di videogiochi vengano visualizzate sul calendario.[1] Le notizie e i contenuti dell'app vengono aggiornati ogni giorno, come le notizie sulla Nintendo Switch 2 che sono state pubblicate dopo la presentazione.[2] Nintendo Today! offre anche fumetti, video che non c'entrano con le notizie, quiz e altri contenuti basati sulle preferenze dell'utente.[3] L'app supporta anche widget che permette all'utente di vedere i contenuti del calendario direttamente sulla schermata home.[4]

Distribuzione

Nintendo Today! è stato annunciato verso la fine della Nintendo Direct del 27 marzo 2025 ed è stato pubblicato poco dopo per i dispositivi Android e iOS.[4]

Nintendo ha usato spesso l'applicazione per annunci esclusivi. Il giorno dopo il lancio, Nintendo ha annunciato via l'app il film per The Legend of Zelda previsto per il 2027.[5] Il 10 giugno 2025, ha annunciato un aggiornamento per Splatoon 3 e Splatoon Raiders.[6][7] Il 9 aprile 2026 ha mostrato un trailer e la data di lancio di Rhythm Paradise Groove sempre in anteprima sull'app.[8] Ugualmente, il 21 aprile 2026 ha mostrato un trailer e la data di lancio per Splatoon Raiders.[9]

Nintendo Today! è stata utilizzata anche per promuovere Super Mario Galaxy - Il film. Gli utenti potevano scannerizzare il poster del film per collezionare quaranta carte digitali, sbloccare cornici e sfondi e usare la funzione "check-in".[10]
