NGC 2919 è una galassia a spirale situata nella costellazione del Leone, a una distanza di circa 132 milioni di anni luce dalla nostra Via Lattea.[1]
Scoperta
La galassia è stata scoperta il 1º febbraio 1877 dall'astronomo tedesco Wilhelm Tempel.[1]
Descrizione
NGC 2919 ha una classe di luminosità II e presenta una larga riga a 21 cm dell'idrogeno neutro.[2]
