NGC 2751 è una galassia a spirale situata nella costellazione del Cancro, a una distanza di circa 218 milioni di anni luce dalla nostra Via Lattea.[1]
Scoperta
La galassia è stata scoperta il 28 marzo 1864 dall'astronomo tedesco Albert Marth.[1]
Descrizione
Il database SIMBAD la classifica come galassia LINER, cioè una galassia il cui nucleo presenta uno spettro di emissione caratterizzato da larghe righe di atomi debolmente ionizzati.[4]
