Microhelida, secondo una classificazione filogenetica, è un regno monotipico di protisti contenente l'unica specie Microheliella maris, descritta per la prima volta nel 2012. È l'unica specie dell'ononimo ordine (ma anche classe e phylum) Microhelida, e dell'unica famiglia Microheliellidae. Microheliella presenta una varietà di caratteristiche morfologiche insolite che rendono difficile una sua classificazione più ampia.[3]
