La Europa Ferrys S.A.U, nota comunememente come EuroFerrys, è stata una compagnia di navigazione spagnola, attiva, dal 1998 al suo assorbimento in Trasmediterránea, avvenuto nel 2010, nel trasporto di merci e passeggeri nello stretto di Gibilterra.
Storia
La compagnia, fondata da un gruppo di agenzie locali di Algeciras e Ceuta nel 1998, avviò il primo servizio tra le due sponde dello stretto di Gibilterra nel maggio dello stesso anno con i gemelli Bahia de Ceuta e Punta Europa, noleggiati dalla Baleària, e con il catamarano Euroferrys I, noleggiato invece dalla Cat-Link.[1] Nel luglio del 1999, con l'acquisto dell'Euroferrys Atlantica, i collegamenti vennero estesi a Tangeri. Nel 2006, dopo circa otto anni di attività, la compagnia venne acquisita dal gruppo Acciona, dal quale venne gradualmente assorbita in Trasmediterránea, fino al 2010, quando l'ultima unità in servizio, l'Euroferrys Pacifica, venne ripitturato con la livrea dell'altra compagnia.[2]
