Eopterosauria (il cui nome significa "primi pterosauri") è un clade di pterosauri basali vissuti nel Triassico superiore, circa 228-201 (Norico-Retico), principalmente in Europa. Il termine fu usato per la prima volta da Andres et al. (2014) per includere Preondactylus, Austriadactylus, Peteinosaurus ed Eudimorphodontidae. All'interno del gruppo sorsero altri due nuovi cladi, Preondactylia, che includeva Preondactylus e Austriadactylus, ed Eudimorphodontoidea, che includeva Eudimorphodontidae e Raeticodactylidae. Eopterosauria è stata definita come "il clade meno inclusivo contenente Preondactylus buffarinii ed Eudimorphodon ranzii".[1] L'esemplare BSP 1994, precedentemente assegnato a Eudimorphodon, è stato nominato taxon separato nel 2015, come Austriadraco, ed è stato assegnato alla nuova famiglia Austriadraconidae, ma non è stata descritta un'ulteriore classificazione.[2]
