Carole Laure a Cannes nel 2002

Carole Laure (Shawinigan, 5 agosto 1948) è un'attrice e cantante canadese.

Biografia

A diciotto anni si unisce alla compagnia teatrale New World Theatre a Montréal. Notata dal regista Jean Chabot, viene scelta da lui come protagonista del cortometraggio Un bycicle pour Pit (1968) e del lungometraggio di esordio Mon enfance à Montréal (1971).[1] Si fa notare a livello internazionale nel 1973, come protagonista di La mort d'un bûcheron di Gilles Carle, che partecipa al Festival di Cannes dello stesso anno.[1] Dopo avere rifiutato il ruolo di Emmanuelle nel film omonimo, nel 1974 è protagonista del film scandalo di Dušan Makavejev Sweet Movie - Dolce film.[1]

Nel 1978, dopo avere preso parte a dei musical in teatro, con un certo successo affianca alla carriera di attrice quella di cantante.[2][3]
