Carriera universitaria

Texas

Nella sua unica stagione a Texas nel 2022, Thompson fece registrare una sola ricezione.[1] A fine anno decise di cambiare istituto.[2]

Oklahoma

Nel 2023 Thompson si trasferì a giocare per gli Oklahoma Sooners.[3] Nella prima stagione totalizzò 7 ricezioni per 241 yard e 2 touchdown.[4] Nell'Alamo Bowl 2023 fece registrare 2 ricezioni per 83 yard e un touchdown contro Arizona.[5] Nel 2024 disputò 10 partite come titolare, con 19 ricezioni per 230 yard e 2 touchdown.[6] A fine anno optò di nuovo per cambiare istituto.[7]

Mississippi State

Los Angeles Chargers
