Tshering Choden (pemanah)

Tshering Choden (lahir 6 Juli 1980[1]) adalah seorang pemanah dari Bhutan yang berkompetisi di Olimpiade Musim Panas 2000 dan 2004.

Choden bertanding di Olimpiade Musim Panas 2004 dengan peringkat dunia 176.[2] Dia adalah satu dari dua atlet Bhutan yang ambil bagian dalam Olimpiade, bersama Tashi Peljor,[3] dan terpilih sebagai pembawa bendera Bhutan untuk upacara pembukaan Olimpiade.[4] Choden menyelesaikan babak tunggal putri dengan peringkat kelima puluh empat di babak penyisihan 72-panah, mencetak 600 poin dari 720.[2] Dia memberikan hasil yang mengejutkan di babak eliminasi pembukaan dengan kemenangan atas pemanah dari China, Lin Sang, dengan selisih tiga poin,[5] sehingga menjadi pemanah Bhutan pertama yang memenangkan pertandingan di Olimpiade.[4] Choden menghadapi pemanah India Reena Kumari di babak kedua, dan mencetak skor seri 134 poin, di babak 18-panah. Lalu pada babak pemecah seri berikutnya, Kumari mengungguli Choden dengan poin 7-4.[3] Choden menyesalinya karena menembak terlalu rendah.[6]

Dia muncul dalam film dokumenter Arte 2004, berjudul Die Bogenschützin von Bhutan.[7]
