Seks pranikah adalah sebuah kegiatan seksual yang diterapkan oleh orang sebelum mereka menikah. Pada masa lalu, seks pranikah dianggap masalah moral yang menjadi tabu di beberapa budaya dan dianggap dosa oleh sejumlah agama, tetapi sejak sekitar 1960-an, ini menjadi makin banyak diterima. Khususnya di negara-negara Barat. Sebuah kajian Pew tahun pada tahun 2014 tentang moralitas global menemukan bahwa seks pranikah dianggap tak diterima di "negara-negara mayoritas Muslim", seperti Indonesia, Malaysia, Yordania, Pakistan dan Mesir, masing-masing menyatakan lebih dari 90% tidak setuju, sementara orang-orang di negara-negara Eropa Barat kebanyakan menerimanya, dengan Spanyol, Jerman dan Prancis menyatakan ketidaksetujuan sebanyak kurang dari 10%.[1] Dalam agama Kristen, Gereja Katolik Roma menyebut seks pranikah sebagai dosa yang harus diampuni melalui pengampunan.
