Saskatchewan adalah provinsi "tercerah" Kanada, rata-rata 2.000 hingga 2.500 jam sinar matahari setiap tahun. Provinsi ini memiliki populasi lebih dari 1,1 juta. Ibukota Regina, memiliki populasi sekitar 240.000 dan Saskatoon, kota terbesar, memiliki populasi 300.000.
