Pos TNI AL Puger atau biasa disingkat menjadi Posal Puger, adalah implementasi dari tugas pokok peran dan fungsi sebagai elemen terkecil dalam strata gelar Pangkalan TNI Angkatan Laut. Posal Puger mempunyai tugas pokok mengumpulkan informasi dan selanjutnya disampaikan ke satuan atas untuk dikaji dan dievaluasi sebagai data masukan untuk pengambilan keputusan, baik dalam tingkat taktis operasi, dan strategis. Posal Puger berada dibawah Komando Pembinaan Lanal Banyuwangi, Pangkalan Utama TNI Angkatan Laut V.

Posal Puger diresmikan pada tanggal 25 Januari 2016 sesuai Peraturan Kasal no 01 tahun 2016 tentang pembentukan Pos Pengamat TNI AL kelas B Puger.[1] Peraturan tersebut kemudian disusul dengan telegram Pangarmatim nomor 501/Arti/0316 tentang Persemian Pos Pengamatan TNI AL kelas B Puger oleh Komamandan Lantamal V.

Peresmian Posal Puger ditandai dengan pengukuhan Letnan Dua (E) Effendi sebagai komandan pertama Posal Puger.[2][3][4]

Posal Puger terletak di Pantai Pancer, Desa Puger Kulon, Kecamatan Puger, Jember, Jawa Timur atau tepatnya terletak di koordinat 08⁰38’32’’ LS -113⁰47’45’’ BT. Posal Puger berjarak kurang lebih 45 kilometer dari pusat kota Jember. Kabupaten Jember sendiri memiliki luas wilayah 3.293,34 Km persegi dan terbagi menjadi 31 kecamatan dengan total panjang garis pantai mencapai 170 Km.

Secara organisasi, Posal Puger berada di bawah komando Pangkalan TNI AL Banyuwangi. Lanal Banyuwangi sendiri merupakan salah satu dari delapan pangkalan yang berada di jajaran Lantamal V Surabaya, sehingga secara fungsi, Posal Puger merupakan kepanjangan tangan dan mata telinga dari Lanal Banyuwangi.[5]
