Manglobe

Manglobe Inc. (株式会社マングローブ, Kabushiki-gaisha Mangurōbu) adalah sebuah studio dan perusahaan produksi animasi Jepang, yang aktif sejak tahun 2002 hingga 2015. Manglobe dibentuk pada tanggal 7 Februari 2002 oleh produser dari Sunrise Shinichirō Kobayashi dan Takashi Kochiyama. Studio ini mengajukan kebangkrutan pada bulan September 2015 setelah memiliki utang yang diperkirakan sebesar 350 juta yen.

Studio produksi

Nama Manglobe terkenal setelah memproduksi tayangan animasi asli seperti Samurai Champloo dan Ergo Proxy, bukan adaptasi dari karya yang telah ada.[1] Sejak tahun 2010, studio ini telah bertanggung jawab untuk beberapa musim adaptasi anime dari The World God Only Knows. Pembuat manga The World God Only Knows Tamiki Wakaki menjadi teman baik dengan managing director Manglobe, Takashi Kochiyama selama periode ini, dan telah menyatakan bahwa kerja sama dengan staf Manglobe staf merupakan sebuah "keberuntungan."[2]

Kebangkrutan

Pada 29 September 2015, studio ini mengajukan kebangkrutan dan menghapus situs web resminya. Situs web Anime! Anime! Biz melaporkan bahwa studio telah bangkrut dalam waktu lama, dan telah mempertimbangkan pilihan-pilihan seperti konsolidasi utang sebelum memutuskan untuk mengajukan kebangkrutan.[3] Menurut sebuah laporan oleh Teikoku Databank, Manglobe diperkirakan memiliki utang sebesar 350 juta yen.[4] Kebangkrutan Manglobe mengakibatkan penundaan rilis film Genocidal Organ, yang sebelumnya dijadwalkan untuk rilis pada 13 November 2015.[5]
