Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati (bahasa Inggris: Convention on Biological Diversity, disingkat CBD) adalah perjanjian multilateral yang memiliki tiga tujuan utama: konservasi keanekaragaman hayati; penggunaan komponen-komponennya secara berkelanjutan; dan pembagian manfaat yang adil dan merata yang timbul dari pemanfaatan sumber daya genetik. Tujuan CBD adalah mengembangkan strategi nasional dalam konservasi dan pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati secara berkelanjutan, dan sering dilihat sebagai dokumen kunci dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Konvensi ini ditandatangani pada Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi Bumi di Rio de Janeiro pada tanggal 5 Juni 1992 dan mulai berlaku pada tanggal 29 Desember 1993. Konvensi ini memiliki dua perjanjian tambahan, yaitu Protokol Cartagena dan Protokol Nagoya.

Protokol Cartagena tentang Keamanan Hayati hingga Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati adalah perjanjian internasional yang mengatur perpindahan organisme hidup termodifikasi oleh bioteknologi modern dari satu negara ke negara lain. Protokol ini diadopsi pada 29 Januari 2000 sebagai perjanjian tambahan untuk CBD dan mulai berlaku pada 11 September 2003.

Protokol Nagoya adalah perjanjian tambahan lainnya dalam kerangka CBD. Protokol ini memberikan kerangka hukum yang transparan untuk mengimplementasikan salah satu dari tiga tujuan CBD: pembagian manfaat yang adil dan merata yang timbul dari pemanfaatan sumber daya genetik. Protokol Nagoya diadopsi pada 29 Oktober 2010 di Nagoya, Jepang, dan mulai berlaku pada 12 Oktober 2014.

Tahun 2010 juga ditetapkan sebagai Tahun Keanekaragaman Hayati Internasional, dan Sekretariat CBD menjadi titik fokusnya. Setelah penandatangan rekomendasi CBD di Nagoya, PBB mendeklarasikan tahun 2011 hingga 2020 sebagai Dekade Keanekaragaman Hayati Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa pada Desember 2010. Rencana Strategis konvensi untuk Keanekaragaman Hayati 2011–2020, yang dibuat pada 2010, mencakup Target Keanekaragaman Hayati Aichi.

Pertemuan para pihak konvensi dikenal sebagai Konferensi Para Pihak (COP). Konferensi yang pertama (COP 1) diadakan di Nassau, Bahama, pada tahun 1994, sedangkan konferensi yang terbaru (COP 14) diadakan di Sharm el-Sheikh, Mesir.
