Givenchy

Givenchy (pengucapan bahasa Prancis: [ʒivɑ̃ʃi]) didirikan oleh Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy pada tahun 1952 sebagai produk yang sederhana.[2] Dua tahun kemudian, mentor Balenciaga ini melakukan debut koleksi pakaian siap jadi.[2] Label ini sukses mengalahkan dengan rumah mode Lauren Bacall, Jackie O, dan Princess Grace, juga Givenchy merilis pakaian pria pada 1973.[2] Pada tahun 1976, produk-produknya meliputi kain, perabotan, sepatu, perhiasan, dan Ford Lincoln Continental.[3] Givenchy bergabung dengan LVMH pada tahun 1988, dan setelah pensiunnya Hubert pada tahun 1995, label ini semakin terkenal sebagai gaya prematur para bintang seperti Alexander McQueen dan John Galliano.[2] Keraguan muncul ketika Riccardo Tisci diangkat sebagai direktur artistik pada tahun 2005.[4]
