Musim Seri Kejuaraan FedEx 1998 adalah musim yang ke-20 di era CART dari balap mobil roda terbuka AS. Musim ini terdiri dari 19 balapan, dimulai di Homestead, Florida pada 15 Maret dan berakhir di Fontana, California pada 1 November. Tampil sebagai juara musim pembalap adalah Alex Zanardi, kejuaraan kedua berturut-turutnya, sedangkan seri Rookie of the Year adalah Tony Kanaan. Ini adalah sponsor pertama dari lima tahun oleh FDX Corporation, yang menjadi FedEx Corporation pada tahun 2000.

Musim ini diwarnai oleh kecelakaan maut di lap 175 dari U.S. 500. Adrián Fernández menabrak dinding luar di tikungan keempat Michigan International Speedway. Roda depan kanannya robek dan terlempar melewati pagar ke tribun, menewaskan tiga penonton (Kenneth Fox, Sheryl Laster, dan Michael Tautkus) dan melukai enam lainnya.[1]

Juga ini menandai musim terakhir dengan Bobby Rahal di grid CART.
