"Bleed It Out" adalah singel kedua Linkin Park dari album Minutes to Midnight. Lagu ini, selain "Hands Held High", adalah lagu yang mengandung nyanyian rap Mike Shinoda. Lagu ini menempati urutan ke-4 di album Minutes to Midnight ini dan dirilis sebagai singel pada tanggal 20 Agustus 2007. Lagu ini telah mendapat peringkat tangga lagu sebelum dirilis. Lagu ini juga mengandung kata-kata makian selain lagu "Given Up" dan "Hands Held High". Juga merupakan singel pertama Linkin Park yang mengandung kata-kata makian selain "Numb/Encore".

Lagu ini mulanya disebut "Accident" (bahasa Indonesia: "kecelakaan").

Penampilan

Lagu ini pertama kali ditampilkan di Webster Hall, New York City pada tanggal 11 2007. Juga ditampilkan pada tanggal 12 Mei 2007 dalam episode dari Saturday Night Live. Lagu ini digunakan juga dalam X Games 13 (salah disebut Let It Bleed). Pada hari Senin, 20 Agustus 2007, lagu ini digunakan dalam program ESPN, Ultimate Highlight, di Sportscenter.

Dalam penampilan konser termasuk Projekt Revolution, Linkin Park membuat intro dan outro yang lebih lama untuk lagu ini. Permainan drum solo juga lebih lama.

Kesuksesan

Lagu ini mendapat peringkat sebelum dirilis. Lagu ini meraih peringkat 69 dalam Billboard U.S. Hot 100 dan 65 dalam Billboard Pop 100. Juga meraih peringkat 5 di Modern Rock Tracks. Lagu ini juga meraih peringkat di Mainstream Rock Tracks yaitu ke-8.

Pada tanggal 31 Juli 2007, video klipnya ditampilkan dalam MTV Germany dan MTV Asia dan ditampilkan di Kanada melalui Muchmusic Countdown web site video streaming MuchAxs.

Video musiknya ditampilkan tanggal 31 Juli 2007 dalam MTV Germany dan disutradarai oleh Joe Hahn. Video musiknya ditampilkan di Amerika Serikat hari Senin, 6 Agustus 2007 sepanjang hari dalam MTV2 "Unleashed". Juga ditampilkan di TRL hari yang sama sebagai MTV2 "Unleashed". Di tangga lagu Muchmusic Countdown meraih peringkat 27 pada tanggal 3 Agustus 2007. Sebagian video musiknya dibuat dalam layar hijau ketika band Linkin Park tampil dalam konser. Juga tampil di Australia sebagai "Video Musik Terbaik Channel V Pekan Ini".
