Alphonse Massamba-Débat

Alphonse Massamba-Débat (1921 – 25 Maret 1977) adalah seorang figur politik Republik Kongo yang memimpin negara tersebut dari 1963 sampai 1968.

Biografi

Kehidupan awal

Ia lahir di Nkolo, Afrika Khatulistiwa Prancis, pada 1921, dan merupakan anggota dari suku Lari. Ia masuk sekolah misionaris dan pada usia 13 tahun menjadi guru di Chad. Pada 1940, ia bergabung dengan Partai Progresif Chad yang anti-kolonialis dan menjabat sebagai sekretaris jenderal Perhimpunan Pengembangan Chad pada 1945.[1] Pada 1947, ia kembali ke Kongo dan menjadi kepala sekolah di sebuah sekolah di Brazzaville dan bergabung dengan Partai Progresif Kongo.[1]
