Chytroma, biljni rod iz porodice Lecythidaceae iz Južne i Srednje Amerike.[1]

Opis

Tradicionalno su vrste roda Chytroma često bile uključene u rod Lecythis, zbog toga se dugo smatralo da je Chytroma sinonim. Međutim, novije molekularne studije (2024) pokazale su da je Lecythis bio polifiletski. Nakon revizije dio vrsta je ponovno izdvojen u revitalizirani rod Chytroma.[2] Postoji oko 19 vrsta. Rasprostranjenost: tropska Amerika (od Srednje Amerike do Brazila). Životni oblik: drveće u vlažnim tropskim šumama
