Bonplandia, maleni slabo poznati biljni rod iz porodice jurničevki (Polemoniaceae) smješten u potporodicu Cobaeoideae. Rzedowski et al. (1995) svrstali su B. linearis B.L.Rob., vrstu ograničenu na Michoacán, kao sinonim za B. geminiflora zbog izrazito varijabilne prirode potonje vrste.[1]

Bonplandia geminiflora Cav. je jedina priznata vrsta u rodu Bonplandia, što znači da je taj rod monotipski. To je zeljasta biljka ili mali grm porijeklom iz Meksika, poznata po svojoj varijabilnosti u izgledu (morfologiji), zbog čega su neke druge opisane vrste kasnije proglašene njenim sinonimima.

Prvi ju je opisao španjolski botaničara Antonio José Cavanilles, a ime je dobila po francuskom botaničaru Aimé Bonplandu.
