קישוטים לחג המולד הם קישוטים (שעשויים במרבית המקרים מפלסטיק, זכוכית מנופחת, פוליסטירן או קרמיקה) שנתלים בדרך כלל על עץ חג מולד. קישוטי חג המולד מיוצרים בצורות שונות, החל מכדור זכוכית פשוט עד עיצובים אמנותיים מיוחדים.

בובת סנטה קלאוס הוא בובה נפוצה, יחד איתה גם מקלות סבא, אנשי שלג, מלאכים ופתיתי שלג הם גם קישוטים פופולרים.

היסטוריה

עץ מקושט עם מקלות סבא סביבו

עצי חג מולד המעוטרים הראשונים עוטרו בתפוחים, מקלות סבא לבנים וכדורי זכוכית בצורות כוכבים, לבבות ופרחים, כדורי הזכוכית הראשונים ששימשו כקישוט לחג המולד יוצרו במאה ה-17 על ידי גרמני בשם הנס גריינר, גריינר ייצר חרוזי זכוכית אותם היה ניתן לתלות על עצי חג המולד.

בערב חג המולד של 1832, המלכה ויקטוריה כתבה ביומנה על שמחתה מכך שיש למשפחתה עץ חג מולד עם קישוטים שהונחו סביבו[1].

לאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה, ממשלת מזרח גרמניה הפכה את מרבית מפעלי הזכוכית של חברת קישוטי חג מולד ששכנה בעיר "לושה" (אנ'), המפעלים הולאמו והיו בבעלות גופי ממשל ובשל כך צומצם הייצור של הקישוטים, רק לאחר שנפלה חומת ברלין, מרבית החברות הוקמו מחדש כחברות פרטיות.

בשנת 1996 פורסם כי ייצר ענף קישוטי המולד מגלגל סכומי עתק והרוויחו כ-2.4 מיליארד דולר במכירות שנתיות, גידול של 25% לעומת השנה הקודמת. מומחים בתעשיית הקישוטים העריכו כי יותר מ-22 מיליון ממשקי הבית בארצות הברית אספו וקנו קישוטי חג מולד[2].
