רבי צבי הירש בן עזריאל (נפטר בכ"ב באייר ה'תצ"ג, 1733)[1] היה פוסק הלכה יהודי-פולני, ומחבר הספרים בית לחם יהודא ועטרת צבי על השולחן ערוך.

ביוגרפיה

הוא היה רבה החמישי של קהילת אוליקה, לאחר אחיו ר' יעקב, ולאחר מכן ראש בית דין בלובלין.[2][3] מסיבה לא ברורה עזב את תפקידו בלובלין ועבר לוילנה, ולכן כונה 'רבי צבי הירש בן עזריאל מווילנה'. היה חתנו של הרב משה פרנקפורטר.[4][5] בשבתו בווילנה היה בקשרים קרובים עם רבנים מקומיים חשובים בהם נכדו של הט"ז הרב יואל בעל ה'מגיני זהב' והרב הגאון ר' מנחם מענדל אב”ד דק“ק קראטשין, בעל עטרת זקנים.[6]

ספריו

רבי צבי חיבר ספרים יסודיים שצוטטו רבות בספרות ההלכתית: 'בית לחם יהודא' (או 'בית לחם יהודה' בחלק מן הדפוסים. הספר נושא את הסכמתו של הרב אלעזר רוקח) על שולחן ערוך יורה דעה, שנקרא על שמו של הפרנס שהיה תומך בו כלכלית בשבתו בווילנה, ר' יהודה ליב אפרים סג"ל מזיצנהיים,[7] שנדפס לראשונה בתצ"ט, ואת הספר 'עטרת צבי' על שולחן ערוך חושן משפט,[8] שנדפס בתפ"ב.[9]
