עזרא נחמד (נולד ב-1945) הוא סוחר ואספן אמנות, מיליארדר. הוא גר במונטה קרלו. נכון לאפריל 2023, הונו הנקי מוערך ב-1.8 מיליארד דולר.[1]

רקע

עזרא נולד בביירות שבלבנון למשפחה יהודית ספרדית.[2][3] שורשיה של משפחת נחמד נמצאים בחלב, סוריה. שם התגורר אביו, הבנקאי הלל נחמד עד לאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה.[3] בעקבות האלימות האנטי-יהודית בסוריה ב-1949, עבר אביו לביירות, שם עזרא ואחיו עסקו במכירת רומנים באנגלית למלחים אמריקאים שהוצבו שם. בתחילת שנות ה-60, כשגברה העוינות בין ישראל לבין לבנון, אביו של עזרא העביר את בני משפחתו כולל את האחים, עזרא, ג'וזף (ג'וזפה) ודוד, למילאנו, איטליה. כבני נוער, השלושה החלו לעסוק באמנות, עזבו את בית הספר התיכון כדי לסחור בבורסה האיטלקית.[3][4]

קריירה

אבן הדרך הראשונה בקריירה של עזרא הייתה ככל הנראה בתערוכת חואן גריס ברומא, שאורגנה על ידי הסוחר הקוביסטי דניאל-הנרי קאהנוויילר (אנ'). עזרא ואחיו קנו שתי יצירות – היצירות היחידות שנמכרו. קאהנוויילר התיידד איתם, ומכר להם יצירות של פיקאסו, בראק וגריס. עם הופעתה של קבוצת הטרור של הבריגדות האדומות בשנות ה-70, מילאנו נתפסה כמסוכנת מדי, והמשפחה עברה שוב. עזרא ואחיו יוסף פנו למונקו, ודייוויד לניו יורק.[5][4]

נכון לשנת 2013, עזרא ואחיו דייוויד נחשבו ל"מגה-דילרים" משפיעים על האמנות המודרנית והאימפרסיוניסטית עם השמות הידועים ביותר, ממונה ומאטיס ועד רנואר ורוטקו.[6] בבעלותם מלאי של בין 4,000 ל-4,500 עבודות, המאוחסנות במחסן פריפורט ז'נבה (אנ') ליד שדה התעופה של ז'נבה, שווייץ.[6] האחים קונים ומוכרים את רוב יצירותיהם במכירות פומביות.[4] בשנת 2007, פורבס העריך שעזרא, יחד עם אחיו דייוויד, בנה אוסף אמנות בשווי של 7 עד 8 מיליארד דולר.[7]

חיים אישיים

נחמד נשוי למארי נחמד,[8] מתגורר במונקו, ואב לארבעה ילדים.[9] בנו הלי נחמד (אנ') סוחר אמנות בלונדון. בשנת 2007, בתו מיכאלה נחמד[10] נשואה למשקיע נתנאל מיוחס (אנ').[11] בן דודו הוא הבנקאי הברזילאי אדמונד ד' ספרא.[12]
