ננסי קרול (באנגלית: Nancy Carroll; נולדה ב-28 בנובמבר 1974) היא שחקנית אנגלייה. היא הופיעה בהפקות תיאטרון רבות בעיקר עם הלהקה השייקספירית המלכותית. שיחקה בסרטי קולנוע ותוכניות טלוויזיה שונות בהן בתפקיד קבוע בסדרת הטלוויזיה של ה-BBC "האב בראון".

ביוגרפיה

ננסי קרול נולדה בעיר קיימברידג' שבקיימברידג'שייר. היא גדלה בהרן היל שבדרום לונדון ולמדה בבית הספר אליין שם הייתה תלמידה נלהבת של תיאטרון.[1] את הכשרתה המקצועית רכשה באקדמיה למוזיקה ולאמנויות הדרמה של לונדון,[1] וסיימה את התואר ביוני 1998.

קריירה

עם סיום הלימודים הופיעה קרול בתפקיד קטן בסרט הקולנוע "בעל אידיאלי". אחר כך הצטרפה ללהקה השייקספירית המלכותית.[1] הופעת הבכורה שלה בתיאטרון הייתה ב-1999 בתפקיד אופליה במחזה "המלט" בתיאטרון בריסטול אולד ויק.[2] על הבמה שיחקה קרול ב-2007 במחזה "The Man of Mode" מאת ג'ורג' את'רג', ב-2006 במחזה "The Voysey Inheritance" מאת הרלי גרנוויל-ברקר, ובתפקיד אמה יונג במחזה "The Talking Cure". מיוני עד ספטמבר 2004 הופיעה במחזה "המשרתת המתחזה" מאת פייר דה מאריבו בתיאטרון המלכותי הלאומי. עוד השתתפה במחזה "המלך ליר" בבימויו של ג'ונתן קנט בתיאטרון אלמיידה ובתיאטרון אולד ויק. ב-2008 שיחקה במחזה נוסף של גרנוויל-ברקר "Waste".

ב-2009 שיחקה בתפקיד ליידי קרום בהפקה מחודשת של המחזה "ארקדיה" מאת טום סטופארד, עליו זכתה לביקורות חיוביות,[3] כמו גם על הופעתה בדמות הפסיכולוגית ד"ר פורד במחזה "שם המשחק" מאת דייוויד מאמט שהועלה בתיאטרון אלמיידה.[4]

קרול שיחקה בתיאטרון פעמים אחדות עם בעלה ג'ו סטון-פיואינגס. ב-2006 הם הופיעו במחזה "See How They Run", ובמרץ 2004 שיחקו במחזות "The Astonished Heart" ו-"Still Life" מאת נואל קאוורד בתיאטרון ליברפול פלייהאוס. ב-2009 גילמה את תפקיד ויולה לצדו של בעלה שגילם את אורסינו בהפקה של הלהקה השייקספירית המלכותית למחזה "הלילה השנים עשר" בבימויו של גרגורי דורן.

ב-2010 הופיעה קרול לצדם של בנדיקט קמברבאץ' ואדריאן סקרבורו בהפקה מחודשת של המחזה "After the Dance" מאת טרנס רטיגן בבימויה של ת'אה שארוק בתיאטרון המלכותי הלאומי.[5] על תפקיד זה זכתה קרול בפרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר של האיבנינג סטנדרד ובפרס אוליבייה לשחקנית הטובה ביותר לשנת 2010.[6]

ב-2012 שיחקה קרול יחד עם ג'ון לית'גו, ג'ושואה מקגווייר וניקולס ברנס בפארסה הוויקטוריאנית "The Magistrate" מאת ארתור וינג פינרו בתיאטרון המלכותי הלאומי. ב-2013 גילמה את דמותה של פליסיטי יוסטון במחזה "The Duck House" מאת דן פטרסון וקולין סוואש,[7] לצדם של בן מילר ודיאנה ויקרס.[8] המחזה הוא סאטירה פוליטית על שערוריית הוצאות הפרלמנט בבריטניה משנת 2009. המחזה הוצג בסיבוב הופעות במשך חמישה שבועות ואחר כך בתיאטרון וודוויל בלונדון.[7]

בטלוויזיה שיחקה קרול בתפקיד פרנסס דובל במיני-סדרה "מרגלי קיימברידג'" של BBC2 משנת 2003.[9] היא השתתפה בפרקים בסדרות הטלוויזיה "החשדות של מר ויצ'ר", "עדות אילמת" ו"רציחות במידסומר". ב-2013 החלה להופיע בתפקיד קבוע בסדרה הבלשית של ה-BBC "האב בראון", בה היא מגלמת את דמותה של אשת החברה העשירה ליידי פלישה מונטגיו.[10] ב-2017 שיחקה בתפקיד מרי קולינס בסדרת הדרמה "החשוד העיקרי 1973" שהוא פריקוול לסדרה "החשוד העיקרי" בכיכובה של הלן מירן.[11]

חיים אישיים

ננסי קרול נשואה לשחקן ג'ו סטון-פיואינגס. לבני הזוג יש שני ילדים, נלי וארתור.[2] השניים נפגשו כשהשתתפו בסיבוב הופעות של הלהקה השייקספירית המלכותית.[2]
