כריסטוף לוקסנברג

כריסטוף לוקסנברג (בגרמנית: Christoph Luxenberg) הוא שם העט של מחברו של הספר Die syro-aramäische Lesart des Koran: Ein Beitrag zur Entschlüsselung der Koransprache (קריאה ערבית-ארמית בקוראן: ניסיון לפיענוח שפת הקוראן), ומספר מאמרים באנתולוגיות על האסלאם הקדום. האדם העומד מאחורי שם זה הוא כנראה מלומד גרמני ופרופסור לשפות שמיות וערבית[1].

לוקסנברג זכה לחשיפה בשנים שלאחר 2000, לאחר פרסום ספרו הראשון (לכל הפחות הראשון תחת שם העט) "קריאה ערבית-ארמית בקוראן" שטוען שהשפה של החיבורים המוקדמים של הקוראן אינה ערבית באופן בלבדי, כפי שאומר המחקר המקובל, אלא נטועה בניב סורי-ארמי של שבט קורייש ממכה במאה ה-7 שקורותיו קשורים בהיווצרותה של דת האסלאם. לוקסנברג מניח כי השפה הארמית שהייתה שכיחה ברחבי המזרח התיכון בימי ראשית האסלאם הייתה שפת התרבות של פולחן נוצרי שהייתה לו השפעה עמוקה על חיבור ומשמעותם של התכנים המופיעים בקוראן [2]

שם העט הבדוי

כריסטוף לוקסנברג הוא שם עט, ייתכן שהשם נבחר בעקבות "מחריב המיתוסים" [3] גאורג כריסטוף ליכטנברג, מאחר ש-Lux בלטינית מתורגם כ-Licht (בגרמנית) [4]. לוקסנברג עצמו טוען כי בחר בפסבדונים מכיוון "...בהתאם לעצתם של חברים ערבים, לאחר שנודעה להם תזת עבודתי" [5], כדי להגן על עצמו מפני תגובות אלימות [6] מאחר שסולימאן בשיר, שהשמיע תאוריות דומות באוניברסיטת א-נג'אח בשכם, הושלך מהחלון בידי הסטודנטים המוסלמים הזועמים שלו[7].

הזהות האמיתית של האדם העומד מאחורי שם העט טרם נתבררה. הגרסאות הנפוצות ביותר [4] [8] [9] סוברות כי הוא מלומד גרמני לשפות שמיות[10]. בבלוגים באינטרנט, משערות כי הוא לבנוני, ואחרים חושבים כי הוא חסר כל ידע בערבית, יש הגורסים כי הוא אינו מלומד כלל, וישנם כאלה שאומרים שהוא מיסיונר נוצרי [11]

השקפותיו בדבר הקוראן

לדעתו של לוקסנברג הקוראן מכיל שפה מעורפלת שלעיתים לא ניתן לפרשה, וטוען שאפילו המלומדים המוסלמים מתקשים לנתח משפטים מסוימים ממנו וכי תלי תלים של ספרות פרשנית נכתבה בניסיון לפענח משפטים אלה. אולם ההנחה העומדת מאחורי מאמציהם היא שכל משפט קשה הוא נכון ובעל משמעות וכי ניתן לפענחו בסיוע כלים של הלמדנות המוסלמית המסורתית. לדעתו מלומדים מערביים מחקים את הפרשנות המוסלמית ומסתמכים עליה ומייחסים לה חשיבות רבה מדי.

לוקסנברג מחזיק בדעה כי על מלומדים לגשת לפרוש הקוראן מחדש, להתעלם מפרשנויות הקוראן הישנות ולהשתמש רק בשיטות הבלשניות וההיסטוריות העדכניות ביותר. הוא סבור שמוחמד הטיף רעיונות שהיו חדשים לרבים משומעיו הערבים, מושגים שמוחמד למד משיחותיו עם יהודי ערב, נוצרים, ומנוצרי סוריה (מניחים שהוא נסע לסוריה). מכאן, אם מילה או משפט מסוים מהקוראן נשמעים חסרי משמעות בערבית, או שניתן להקנות להם משמעות רק אם מעוותים את הכתוב, עלינו להיעזר בשפות הארמית ובסורית, לצד הערבית.

הפרשנות האסלאמית המסורתית מגבילה את עצמה לאוצר המילים הערבי, לוקסנברג מציע להשתמש בשפות נוספות. לדעתו הקוראן מבוסס על טקסטים שקדמו לו ועל הרצאות שנישאו בכנסיות נוצריות בסוריה, וכי הייתה זו עבודתם של דורות אחדים לעבד טקסטים אלו, עד שנוצר הקוראן כפי שהוא מוכר לנו כיום.
